Links
You can add/modify menus through
Developer->Links
section.
How to add a Link?
Login to the Admin Panel, visit
Developer->Links->Add Link
to add a new link.
Select a parent using the
Menu
dropdown field. You can also add new parents via
Manage Menus
tab in the upper right corner.
Give a label to your menu, this is the text that will be displayed to the user.
If the label text is a multi language string, check the
The Label Text is a Language String?
checkbox. If you are using a plain English word in the label field, keep this field unchecked.
Add description using the
Description
field, this is an optional field. The Description is visibile only in few themes.
Enter redirect page url in the URL field.
pages
: Enter pages if you want to redirect user to a specific page.
categories
: Enter categories to redirect user to a specific category page.
search
: Enter search to redirect user to the search page.
You can also enter a direct URL like https://www.google.com
If you are creating a
pages
/
categories
/
search
link, check the
Fixed URL parsed using GoClixy URL Format Method?
field.
Select the
Same Window
from the
Target
field to open this link in the same window.
You can also display an icon with your link.
Use the permissions field to display this link to specific users.
The link condition parameters are used to make this link active.
If you are creating a pages link, enter
table:pages;row_id:<PAGE ID>
in the
Extra
field. To view pages id, visit
Content->Pages
section. E.g.
table:pages;row_id:4
, this will create a link of the page where the page id is 4.
Keep the Options, Layout and Priority fields to default.
Check the
Status
checkbox to make your link active and click the
Save
button.
Click the
Orders Links
tab in the upper right corner.
Select the menu under which you added your link and click the Load button. Once all links are visible, click the
Save
button. You can also change the position of links by dragging and dropping them.
